ISLAMABAD: Naseeruddin Haqqani the son of Haqqani network leader Jalaluddin Haqqani was killed here on Sunday night.
According to sources, Naseeruddin was travelling in his car when unknown gunmen on a motorcycle opened fire. Naseeruddin Haqqani was killed in the attack, while two others in the car were injured. His body has been taken to North Waziristan and he is expected to be buried in Miranshah.
The killing comes just over a week after a US drone strike killed Pakistani Taliban chief Hakimullah Mehsud in North Waziristan tribal district.
